WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU CALL
From your first call to your first day.
Reaching out is the hardest step. Here’s what happens after you do — and how we make the rest as simple as possible.
-
01
Listen First
When you call, we listen to what you’re experiencing, how long it’s been going on, and the kind of support you’re looking for. Share as much or as little as you’re comfortable with.
-
02
Gather basic information
We ask for contact details, any current diagnoses or medications, and recent treatment history, so our clinical team can understand what level of care fits best.
-
03
Discuss levels of care
Based on what you share, we’ll walk through the options at Lifeline — PHP, IOP, Virtual IOP, and outpatient — and what a typical day at each level looks like.
-
04
Review insurance and payment
Our team verifies your insurance, explains how your benefits apply, and reviews any expected out-of-pocket costs before you decide to move forward.

How does Online IOP work?
Using a secure telehealth platform, you’ll participate in live group therapy, meet one-on-one with licensed clinicians, and receive personalized support all without traveling to a treatment center.
How quickly can I start treatment?
In many cases, treatment can begin within a few days of your first call. Once we’ve completed a brief clinical assessment and verified your insurance, we work to place you in the right program as quickly as safely possible.
How long does treatment last?
Length of care depends on your needs and progress. PHP and IOP are typically measured in weeks, with clients stepping down to lower-intensity outpatient support over time. Your care plan is reviewed regularly and adjusted as you move through recovery.
How do I know what level of care I need?
You don’t have to decide alone. During admissions, our clinical team assesses your situation and recommends a level of care — PHP, IOP, Virtual IOP, or outpatient — based on your symptoms, stability, and daily responsibilities.
Is treatment confidential?
Yes. Your privacy is protected under federal law, and conversations with our team are confidential. We only share information with your written consent or where required by law.
Does insurance cover virtual IOP?
Most major insurance plans provide coverage for outpatient addiction and mental health care. We work with many providers and offer fast, no-obligation verification so you understand your benefits before you begin. At this time we do not accept Medicaid or Medicare.
Can I stay in touch with family during treatment?
Absolutely. Because our programs are outpatient, you return home around your treatment schedule. When appropriate, we also bring loved ones into the process through family-centered support to strengthen long-term recovery.
