Outpatient addiction & mental health treatment across
southeastern Pennsylvania
We serve individuals and families throughout Chester, Montgomery, Delaware, and Philadelphia counties who are seeking compassionate, evidence-based care for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
One center. Many communities.
Let’s be clear about what we are: Lifeline has a single treatment center, in Malvern. We don’t operate satellite offices. What you’ll find below are the communities we serve — each with a local resource guide covering how to get here, what care looks like, and the support available near you.
Lifeline Recovery &
Wellness, Malvern.
Great Valley Corporate Center sits just off Route 30 and Route 202 — central to the Main Line, Chester County, and the western Philadelphia suburbs.

Call for current PHP, IOP, and OP schedules
What to expect when you arrive:
- On-site parking — no city garages, no meters
- A discreet suite in a professional office park, not a clinical institution
- Private rooms for individual sessions and group therapy spaces
- You go home at the end of each day — this is outpatient care
Find your community.
Grouped by county, not alphabetically — because you’re thinking about the drive, not the spelling. Each page is a local resource guide, not a second office.
Chester County
Our home county. Malvern sits at the center, with most Chester County communities a short local drive away — which makes attending PHP or IOP several days a week genuinely practical rather than aspirational.
Montgomery County
Many clients come to us from Montgomery County and the Main Line. If you’re commuting in, our admissions team will help you build a schedule that works around traffic, work, and school pickup — not against them.
Delaware County
For clients coming from Delaware County, the drive west often means putting some distance between daily triggers and treatment — while staying close enough to keep family, work, and support systems intact.
Philadelphia
Some clients from Philadelphia choose to travel out to Malvern precisely because it’s away from the environments tied to their use — close enough to stay connected, far enough to breathe.

What to look for — even
if you don’t choose us.
Sorting through centers, levels of care, and marketing claims is exhausting. Here’s the honest checklist. Hold every provider to it, including us.
-
Licensing & accreditation
A quality center is licensed by its state and transparent about exactly which services it provides — and which it doesn’t.
Lifeline: Accredited by The Joint Commission; LegitScript certified. We provide outpatient care only — no detox, no residential, no 24-hour supervision.
-
Integrated dual diagnosis
Substance use is often intertwined with depression, anxiety, or PTSD. Look for centers that treat both from day one, not as separate tracks.
Lifeline: Co-occurring mental health care is integrated into treatment from intake.
-
Evidence-based methods
Quality programs rely on proven methods, not trends. Ask which therapies they actually use — and whether they can name them.
Lifeline: CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, MAT, group and family therapy.
-
Individualized planning
No two recoveries are alike. Clinicians should understand your history, mental health, and goals before building a plan.
Lifeline: Comprehensive assessment precedes every treatment plan.
-
Clear family communication
Families should be informed, educated, and supported — not left guessing from the waiting room.
Lifeline: Family education and support planning are part of the program.
-
Insurance transparency
You should know what’s covered before you commit — not after the first bill arrives.
Lifeline: We verify your benefits for you. In-network with most major commercial insurers. We do not accept Medicaid or Medicare.
It’s completely reasonable to ask direct questions about services, coverage, how often you’ll see a clinician, and what a typical day looks like. You deserve clear answers before you decide anything.
A clear path forward.
Whether you’re stepping down from inpatient care, completing detox elsewhere, or simply ready for a new beginning.

No. Lifeline is outpatient only — PHP, IOP, and OP. You attend programming and return home the same day. We don’t provide medical detox, residential treatment, or 24-hour supervision. When someone needs detox first, we coordinate with partner providers and welcome them afterward.
Yes. Alongside in-person programming at our Malvern center, we run a Virtual IOP over secure telehealth — live therapist-led group sessions, individual counseling, and ongoing clinical support — for adults balancing work, school, or family commitments. Individual therapy can also be held virtually. Which format fits you best is something we work out together during admissions.
