The Lifeline Recovery Outpatient Program

Start Recovery

What is an Outpatient Program?

Completing a structured, time-intensive addiction treatment program is a significant milestone. But the transition to independent living can feel overwhelming. Fortunately, outpatient rehab offers individuals in Malvern, Pennsylvania and the surrounding areas the opportunity to continue their progress with clinical support, structure, and accountability while rebuilding their daily lives.

Our Facility

How Outpatient Care Works

Outpatient care at Lifeline Recovery creates a vital bridge between treatment and everyday life, giving you the immediate tools needed for lasting sobriety. Our program combines professional guidance with real-world application, allowing you to integrate recovery tools directly into your daily routine and practice them in the moments that matter most. You can maintain your work, school, and family commitments through flexible therapy sessions while continuing to live at home or in a sober living environment.

By bridging the gap between learning recovery skills and living them in real time, our expert therapists provide immediate support as you navigate daily challenges, build confidence, and establish healthy patterns. This is where your new direction forward begins, and the light at the end of the tunnel gets brighter.

Frequently Asked Questions

OP is our lightest level of outpatient care — designed for clients who’ve completed a higher level of treatment (inpatient, PHP, or IOP) and are ready to continue their recovery while returning fully to daily life, with ongoing clinical support and accountability.

Typically less than 10 hours a week. Most clients attend sessions three times a week, with each session lasting about three hours — making it easier to balance work, school, or family responsibilities.

Most clients complete the program in about 8 to 12 weeks, though length can be extended based on individual progress and support needs.

OP tends to be a good fit if you’ve completed a higher level of care, are stable in your recovery, and are ready to return to daily responsibilities — but still want structure, clinical support, and accountability rather than stepping away from treatment entirely.

Many clients live at home; others stay in a sober living environment during this stage, depending on their individual needs and support system.

OP includes individual therapy, group therapy, family involvement, relapse prevention and life skills training, medication management (for those who need it), and holistic and wellness activities — all built around your personal recovery goals.

Yes. Family involvement is strongly encouraged — through education, counseling, or joint sessions — so loved ones can better understand recovery and offer more meaningful support.

OP is lighter and more flexible than IOP, with fewer weekly hours. It’s designed for clients who are already stable and stepping down from IOP or another higher level of care, rather than those who still need intensive structure.

Many insurance providers offer coverage for outpatient services. Contact our team and we’ll help you understand your specific benefits before treatment begins.
